Impact groups are run weekly as either lunchtime or after school extra-curricular groups. Led by a member of the Pure team, Impact groups use creative tools including drama, dance, discussion and sport to look at different topics that influence young people in today’s culture.
Each term or half term, a new series of workshops are introduced. Issues currently covered by the series include; identity, pressure, purpose, choices, dreams and love.
Impact groups currently run in a number of schools across Merseyside and are a fantastic tool for building relationships with students in schools and as a follow-up to the theatre productions we deliver.
Maintaining relationships with students who are in contact with Pure is an integral part of enhancing the work we do as we believe building trust and self-esteem leads to further progress and more lasting effects within the issues we cover.
